Seven debutants in Hurricanes team for Stormers

The Hurricanes have named their team to face the Stormers in Cape Town in their Super Rugby season opener with three players making their starting debuts.

As announced earlier in the week, captain Conrad Smith will lead the team out for the first time.

Three members of the starting fifteen will be making their Hurricanes debuts this weekend - Tristan Moran, Ben May and Tim Bateman.

A further four members of the team could make their Hurricanes and Super Rugby debuts as they are named on the bench - Motu Matu'u, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, Brad Shields and TJ Perenara.

This game is the first of three matches on the Hurricanes tour of South Africa and Australia.

The Hurricanes play the Lions in Johannesburg next wekend and then the Western Force in Perth the week after.
